Description

Gender discrimination, a social curse, is discussed, debated, and defined in many forms in art and culture across the globe. Poetry and artworks can be a convenient medium for expressing gender-related injustice and defining issues like male dominance, marginalization, women empowerment, early child marriage, sexual harassment, social taboos against women and so on. The present book is a combination of art works and poetry containing twelve art works and forty poems collected, chosen the best and included. Each and every work as chosen for the book defines and describes the picturesque descriptions of gender discrimination still visible in society. All the poems reflect the inmost feelings of the poets and the artists. The editor seems to be quite meticulous in the selection of the works of the co-authors. The book unites the East and the West in one platform reflecting various forms of gender discrimination as visible in the post-modern era.
