Inspired by true-life events, the novel, ‘COVID -19 0r COVID – 13 is a fiction set in Corona times
in India and justifies that Adversity is an Opportunity in Disguise as it introduces Man to himself, hence
tough situations don’t last but tough people do Life is a roller coaster so when we face an
the emotional, social, or financial upheaval over which we have no control, we feel like giving ourselves
up to fate but by focussing on strengths and dealing with intellect, patience, and faith we emerge
victorious. We need to understand that sometimes the timing isn’t right because there is something
better and we just need to be patient. Human beings have an untapped reservoir of resilience to
bounce back from trauma and setbacks.
The protagonist, Sarita Saxena a school Principal lives with her loving husband Ajit Saxena, an
Engineer and enjoys a happy married life. During the pandemic, she contracts anxiety and depression
but overcomes them by realizing that we all must go through hardships in our lives at some point in life
but it’s we who hold the key to our happiness and success. Covid 19 Pandemic continues to create
havoc and Lockdown is imposed nationwide bringing economic activity to a standstill and creating fears
and insecurities while ……some look at this event as a wonderful opportunity and celebrate it!……..
The antagonist seeks a golden opportunity to take a political plunge. To her dismay Sarita discovers
Covid -13, the most dangerous form of coronavirus, adapts into a human form spreading rapidly around the
world. She is stunned when Raveena, an excellent employee of her school resigns saying, “It’s
the happiest day of my life! my husband died last night, thanks to corona!”
